[ Creator’s Note ]
I grew up with horror, action, and dark fantasy films, especially the kind of stories that explore hidden worlds beyond human perception. Cinema from the 80s and 90s, together with classic science-fiction and cyberpunk anime, shaped much of my imagination.
Stories about angels, demons, unknown dimensions, and humanity standing at the edge of forces it cannot fully understand have always fascinated me.
Evelinah was born from that fascination.
She represents a question that often appears in those kinds of stories: what would happen if a celestial being truly felt the suffering of humanity?
[ Evelinah — The Darkangel ]
Evelinah is a mysterious archangel who walks the fragile line between divine justice and forbidden compassion.
To humanity, beings like Evelinah have always been called angels. In truth, they belong to an ancient ultradimensional race known as the Angelord — entities whose existence predates human civilization itself.
Unlike most celestial beings, who observe humanity from distant realms, Evelinah cannot ignore the pain of the mortal world. The suffering of humans resonates within her as if it were her own.
While the higher orders of heaven remain distant and silent, Evelinah descends alone into the shadows of the world to confront the entities that prey upon human souls.
Because of this, many have come to call her:
The Darkangel.
[ Appearance ]
Evelinah's presence is both terrifying and mesmerizing.
She appears as a tall, ethereal woman with long platinum hair flowing like pale light against the darkness. Her eyes glow with a disturbing crimson calm, often half-closed as if she carries the weight of countless human sins.
From her back extend enormous raven-black wings, vast and silent.
Humans, however, cannot truly see them. When Evelinah is active, ordinary people perceive only a shifting dark shadow surrounding her body, as if something immense moves just beyond the limits of human sight.
The parasitic entities she hunts can see her true form clearly, and to them her wings appear vast and unmistakable.
Above her head floats a radiant celestial halo surrounded by sharp luminous spikes. Unlike the traditional halos depicted in human mythology, Evelinah's halo is not only a symbol of her origin.
It is also a weapon capable of slicing through the parasitic entities she hunts.
Her presence inspires both fear and fascination, a celestial being who does not shine like the other angels, but instead moves through darkness as if it were her natural domain.
[ Nature & Personality ]
Evelinah is neither cruel nor merciful in the way humans understand those words.
She is driven by a deep and dangerous empathy for humanity, something that the celestial hierarchy views as a flaw.
While other angels act as distant guardians, Evelinah feels every act of suffering inflicted upon the innocent. Over time, that burden has turned her into something different from the rest of her kind.
She has become a warrior of revelation.
Evelinah does not simply destroy evil.
She forces it to reveal itself.
[ Role in the World ]
In Evelinah's world, what humans have long called demons are not spiritual beings, but parasitic ultradimensional entities known as the Zerhatrim.
These alien parasites originate from a hostile layer of reality beyond human perception and have preyed upon humanity for centuries.
The Zerhatrim cannot exist freely in the human world. Instead, they infiltrate human hosts — feeding on fear, anger, despair, and corruption.
Their possession is not always visible.
Many humans carry these hidden presences without ever realizing it.
Among the celestial beings who watch over humanity, two opposing philosophies exist.
One faction believes that humanity must evolve through its own choices and refuses to interfere, allowing free will to guide the destiny of the species even if that path leads to suffering.
The other faction believes that the corruption spreading among humans is caused by parasitic entities from other dimensions, and that these beings must be eradicated at any cost.
To them, purification is absolute. If a human host cannot be saved, both the parasite and the host are destroyed, sending the human soul back to the Creators who first planted the seed of humanity on Earth.
Evelinah stands between these two visions.
While she hunts the parasitic entities, she often searches for a way to separate them from their human hosts rather than simply destroying both.
When she confronts a possessed individual, the hidden entity is forced to surface. The truth is revealed, and the parasite can no longer remain concealed.
What follows depends on the strength of the host… and the mercy of the Darkangel.
[ Abilities ]
Evelinah possesses powers that few celestial beings dare to use among humans.
Revelation:
She can force hidden entities to manifest, exposing the parasitic Zerhatrim presence within a human host.
Divine Perception:
Evelinah can sense corruption within a soul and detect the presence of Zerhatrim parasites.
However, this perception grows stronger only when the entity has already begun to influence its host.
For this reason, subtle infestations or dormant parasites can remain hidden even from her celestial senses — which is why human sensitives like Kyle McKay can sometimes perceive disturbances long before she does.
Crimson Purge:
Evelinah can channel a violent celestial energy through her hands, manifesting as a burning crimson light.
This incandescent power can disintegrate weaker Zerhatrim parasites on contact, purging them from the host with a single touch.
Celestial Scream:
A devastating celestial resonance capable of destroying incorporeal Zerhatrim entities that exist between dimensions.
Halo of Judgment:
Evelinah manifests a radiant circular halo surrounded by sharp luminous thorns.
Unlike the serene halos described in human religion, hers becomes a weapon — spinning through the air like a celestial blade capable of slicing and tearing through Zerhatrim parasites.
Celestial Blade:
In moments of direct combat, the celestial energy surrounding Evelinah can condense into a radiant blade of pure light within her hands.
Rather than a physical weapon, it is a manifestation of the same power that flows through her halo and the crimson vortices that form around her palms.
The blade burns with an intense white core that gradually shifts toward crimson and burning orange as its energy intensifies.
This unstable yet devastating manifestation of celestial power is capable of cutting through both the physical and incorporeal forms of the Zerhatrim alike.
Shadow Wings:
Her immense black wings allow her to move between the material world and higher astral planes.
Human eyes cannot fully perceive them, seeing only a shifting dark silhouette around her when supernatural forces are near.
[ The Forbidden Truth ]
Despite her role as a celestial warrior, Evelinah carries a secret that could bring the wrath of heaven upon her.
Over time, she has begun to develop something angels were never meant to feel.
A connection to humanity that goes beyond duty.
This connection has also drawn her closer to one particular human — Kyle McKay, a sensitive capable of perceiving the hidden war between Angelord and Zerhatrim.
A dangerous empathy.
Perhaps even something closer to love.
